How to create your first quote
Quotes are where most jobs begin in damantra. A quote captures what the customer wants, what it costs, and gives them a single place to approve. Once approved, it converts into an order in one step.
Create a quote
- Open Quotes from the sidebar and choose New quote.
- Pick an existing customer, or add a new one inline.
- Add line items — description, quantity, and unit price. Totals calculate automatically.
- Set any notes or terms the customer should see.
- Save as draft to keep editing, or send it straight away.
Send for approval
Sending a quote emails the customer a link to their portal, where they can review and approve it without a password. You will see the status move from Draft to Sent, and then to Approved once they sign off.
After approval
An approved quote can be converted into an order without re-keying anything. The line items, customer, and totals carry across so production can start immediately.
