Orders & Production

The invoice workflow

Invoices in damantra move through a simple lifecycle — draft, sent, then paid. You can raise one from an order so its line items carry across, or create a standalone invoice.

Raise an invoice

  1. From an order, choose Create invoice — the customer and line items carry across.
  2. Or open Invoices and choose New invoice to start from scratch.
  3. Check the line items, due date, and VAT, then save as a draft.

Send and get paid

Sending an invoice emails the customer a portal link showing the amount due and your payment details. Once the money arrives, mark the invoice as paid — the status updates everywhere, including the customer's portal.

Staying on top of payments

Sent invoices past their due date show as overdue on your dashboard's Action Required list, so nothing slips. Set your bank details and payment link under Settings, then Organization, so every invoice tells customers exactly how to pay.
